Bookkeeping & Financial Reporting

Veterinary bookkeepingand financial reporting

We connect the income data in your practice management system to the expense data in QuickBooks and reconcile both to the AAHA Chart of Accounts, so your monthly financials show margin by revenue center.

The problem

Where your numbers live today

Your practice management system tracks revenue by service line. QuickBooks tracks expenses by tax category. The two were built for different jobs and were never designed to talk to each other, which is why most veterinary profit and loss statements reconcile perfectly and still answer very little.

Reconciled to the AAHA Chart of Accounts

Income and expenses are grouped under the same service categories, so margin by revenue center appears directly on the financials instead of in a separate analysis.

Monthly process

How the month runs

The same six steps happen in the same order every month. You complete one intake form on the first. We handle everything after that and deliver finished financials.

STEP 01

Intake request

We send a short intake form on the first of the month. It is the only item that requires your time.

STEP 02

Vendor invoice review

We pull invoices from all major vendors and split cost of goods sold into the correct AAHA categories.

STEP 03

Income categorization

We take the income report out of your practice management system and map each dollar to its AAHA category.

STEP 04

Transaction categorization

Remaining transactions are categorized and every account is reconciled against its statement.

STEP 05

Quality review

A second reviewer checks each line item for accuracy before the reports are finalized.

STEP 06

Reports delivered

Finished financials are delivered to you, formatted consistently month over month.

Your account manager

One dedicated point of contact who works on your practice every month and knows its history.
